Donation Campaigns
Our Soksan Community Garden is a special place where the people of Soksan Village can learn about farming and gardening and pick up some skills that they can use to improve their lives. The villagers can also get access to seeds and seedlings, as they can start farms on their own land.We also use our beautiful garden as a learning facility for students at our school SIS. Our gardening, school improvement and Environmental Art classes, all make use of the Soksan Community gardens.
We have recently had to relocate our gardens to a new piece of land that is more easily accesible from the school, and we need a bit of help to get things back up to speed.
We are looking for 30 generous donors to sponsor the SCG by paying for the planting of 30 trees, as well as the purchase of seeds, dirt, manure and timber for planters.
Each tree donation is $20 and includes an amount for other seeds and materials.
Many Cambodians travel by motorbike as it is a very affordable and easy mode of transport. Unfortunately, many are uneducated on basic road safety, and motorbike helmets can be a rare sight.
We are hoping to buy 30 or more locally sourced motorbike helmets to protect adults and children in Soksan Village and the surrounding communities.
Each helmet donation is $40 and pays for the purchase of an international standard helmet and a road safety program for students.
CKF is always striving to give the very best of opportunities to all of our students, so in 2016, we will be taking a team of seven students to Thailand on an international trip, to compete in the Bangkok Tournament of Minds.

Of course we are planning to make the most of the opportunity and add in plenty of cultural exchange experiences, so we have already started communicating with other schools and organisations in Cambodia, and have begun planning visits to different attractions and locations.
It will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these students, and an important follow up to our international soccer trip last year, as it offers a similar opportunity outside of the traditional sports related competitions.
